James "Steve" Dixon
Chief of Police
Chief Dixon has been a sworn Law Enforcement Officer for over 38 years in the State of Florida. Having started his career in 1971 with the Metro Dade Police Department, Chief Dixon spent the next 27.5 years serving the citizens of the Miami area before retiring honorably from service. Rising through the ranks from uniform patrol officer, Chief Dixon has held positions as; A Criminal Investigator, K-9 Handler, Traffic Homicide Investigator, Crime Scene Processor, and Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Unit. Chief Dixon also held the ranks of Patrol Supervisor up to Unit Commander. Chief Dixon has also served his country in the military by completing two tours of duty in Vietnam. Chief Dixon's education includes:

-Florida/ FBI Executive Development Training-
Chief Dixon also has numerous advanced training certificates in various Law Enforcement, Police Supervision and Police Administration courses.
Chief Dixon has served as a Police Chief for 8 years.
Lorraine Barber
Administrative Assistant
Lorraine Barber is the Administrative Assistant for the Inglis Police Department. Lorraine is also the Police Departments Administrative Property and Evidence Custodian. Lorraine has been with the Inglis Police Department for 6 years.
