Property / Evidence and Crime Scene Unit
The mission of the Property / Evidence and Crime Scene Unit is to assist investigating officers in locating and collecting evidence at crime scenes so we may help bring closure to victims of various criminal acts and assist in the prosecution of violators at trial. The Property / Evidence and Crime Scene Unit is responsible for the safe handling and collection of evidence at crime scenes and the eventual storage of these items for later processing. The Inglis Police Department works closely with the Levy County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit to accomplish our mission.
