Traffic Unit
The mission of the Traffic Unit is to educate the public regarding the safe operation of motor vehicles on the roadways and the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The Traffic Unit is responsible for enforcing the traffic laws of the State of Florida as well as citing and apprehending violators of these laws.
The Traffic Unit also conducts Traffic Crash Investigations, DUI Enforcement, Narcotic Interdiction, Child Safety Seat Awareness, and participates in Traffic Enforcement Details conducted throughout each year. The Traffic Unit also has zero tolerance for safety belt violators, so
